Many thanks to those who turned out for the Sessay Spring Clean on March 21st. Although once again not overwhelmed with volunteers, the enthusiasm of the team that showed up was brilliant and between us we collected a whopping 44 large sacks full of litter - a really outstanding effort.

The entire ring around Sessay and Hutton Sessay was cleaned including the two roads down to the A19 and the road towards Dalton as far as the railway bridge. I hope everyone has noticed the difference and feels it is worthwhile to make these efforts to keep our communities looking well cared for.

So thank you again to the volunteers for giving up their time - especially when it clashed with the final of the Six Nations rugby! Closer attention to be paid to sporting fixtures before arranging the next date...

What is RSS?

RSS (or Really Simple Syndication) is the technical term for a newsfeed.

If you are an "Information Junkie", then RSS is perfect for you. RSS is about getting live web feeds directly to your computer. RSS takes the latest headlines from our website, and pushes those headlines down to your computer for quick scanning. It can also visually inform you when a new news article has been published.

Setting up a RSS Newsfeed is simple but not all web-browsers have an RSS reader built in. To know for sure, simply click on the RSS Feed button above. If you get a new page full of code then it's likely you haven't got a Feed Reader installed. If this is the case we recommend you Google search for a RSS feed reader for your chosen web-browser.
