Following a well attended public meeting on 20 January in the Village Hall, at which surface water management issues in the Parish were discussed as a result of the heavy rainfall we experienced on Christmas Day and Boxing Day,  the Parish Council has continued to liaise with Yorkshire Water, HDC and the NYCC Flood Risk Management Team and positive steps are now being taken towards the development of a Surface Water Management Plan (SWMP) for Sessay.  The camera survey of the sewer by Yorkshire Water is continuing and we will keep you informed as this work progresses.  For more information about SWMP's and advice on flood recovery and resilience, see links below :

INFORMATION

What is RSS?

RSS (or Really Simple Syndication) is the technical term for a newsfeed.

If you are an "Information Junkie", then RSS is perfect for you. RSS is about getting live web feeds directly to your computer. RSS takes the latest headlines from our website, and pushes those headlines down to your computer for quick scanning. It can also visually inform you when a new news article has been published.

Setting up a RSS Newsfeed is simple but not all web-browsers have an RSS reader built in. To know for sure, simply click on the RSS Feed button above. If you get a new page full of code then it's likely you haven't got a Feed Reader installed. If this is the case we recommend you Google search for a RSS feed reader for your chosen web-browser.
